This exquisite Sambalpuri Ikat pure Silk Saree with Dark Sapphire border and pallav has been hand woven with finesse and assiduous craftsmanship show casing beautiful combination of motifs and colours with Traditional motifs. 
This beautiful Rich Black saree has a border of chequered board (chaupad) pattern along with Rudraksh Bead Composition. Each IKAT silk saree has luxuriously and Vibrant colour combinations which enhance the beauty of the wearer, it is a premium saree with high quality silk.  
Sambalpuri hand woven sarees reflect an original style of craft known as Bandha which is created with traditional motifs of flora and fauna. The technique used is tie-dye. The sarees originate from state of Orissa.

  • Detailed Information: This century one can see that the weaving and the tie and dying has been cross fertilized between Samblapur-Sonepur region with Naupatna region. In both area one can find similarity in motifs which usually comprise of lines and floral and animal motifs. Ikat is a tie-dyed technique practiced in Sambalpur and Bargarh. The renowned traditional design of chaupad (squares)has strong elements of Black and Red. The word Ikat originates from the Malay-Indonesian word Mengikat, which means to bind, knot, or wind around. In India, Ikat textiles are known as Bandh in Odisha, Patola in Gujarat, Telia Rumal and Pochampally Ikat in Andhra Pradesh.
